Raymond Kanehailua Jr.

Raymond is from Hawaii Island and began his hospitality career at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea’s sister property, as a cocktail server. His talents were soon recognized, and he became a bartender where his creativity at cocktail crafting began to shine. He then entered the hotel’s management training program and became the assistant beverage manager and later restaurant manager for both Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Mauna Kea Beach Hotel named Raymond their Banquet and Beverage Manager and within a few short years, he was promoted to Director of Restaurants and Special Events at the legendary oceanfront Kohala Coast resort in 2015. In 2016, he was named Assistant Food & Beverage Director to oversee beverage programming, operations and training at the hotel’s multiple dining and lounge venues. From the Copper Bar to Manta restaurant and lounge, to beachside at Hau Tree and the hotel’s luau dinner and show, Raymond continually strived to deliver creative quality-driven out-of-the-box beverage experiences to resort guests who expect only the very best.
