Kayla Robison, executive chef at Nation Kitchen & Bar located in Cincinnati, OH, was raised in a small town in North Dakota where she began working in the kitchen at 14 years old.

At 19, Robison moved to Cincinnati to attend culinary school for both pastry and culinary. Working as a pastry chef during the day and bartending at night, she was given the opportunity to help open Nation Kitchen & Bar, a new, locally-owned burger restaurant concept in Cincinnati, as its executive chef. Since Nation's opening in June 2015, Robison and the restaurant have been a media mainstay, both locally and nationally, including monthly cooking appearances on the local news, as well as a mention in Cosmopolitan magazine, and a feature on Cooking Channel's Cheap Eats. Robison works alongside her team and empowers them to create a unique menu with her, full of locally sourced ingredients, to help set Nation apart from other burger joints in the city.
