Harold Johnson started his career as a dishwasher in the 80’s. Mr. Johnson has 37 years of FB experience with 28 years residing in Las Vegas. 

Harold has worked in all areas of Food and Beverage starting his career in Las Vegas with the Rio Hotel Casino in 1990. 

Mr. Johnson’s talents were quickly recognized as a trend setting operator for the Food and Beverage Innovations of the 90’s era. Taking over Food and Beverage at the Rio Hotel and Casino, which included directing all facets of operations for food and beverage outlets, including catering and banquet facilities, serving over 20,000 customers per day.  Harold Johnson and team  built a food and beverage program that grew revenue income from 7 million annually to over 65 million by 1994, causing customer covers to grow from 255,000 to over 7,000,000 annually during the same time period. Mr. Johnson drove and guided the operations of the resort into becoming the premier venue in Las Vegas for both locals and tourists by providing innovations, consistency, and value for our guests. Mr. Johnson played a key role in the creation of Club Rio resulting in the introduction of a nightclub scene within a casino. These Club concepts have been replicated by the industry over the last 25 years. Mr. Johnson conceived, designed, built and operated the Carnival World Buffet, which was recognized as the new standard for Buffets generating 10,000 covers a day and was consistently rated #1 in Las Vegas. The Rio was rated #1 by Travel and Leisure Magazine for having the best value of any resort destination.

Mr. Johnson then created Fiore the first Las Vegas Restaurant to host the James Beard Awards Dinner in 1994. Mr. Johnson next venture at raising the Fine Dining Bar in Las Vegas was to bring the first Celebrity Chef – Michelin Star Chef Jean-Louis Palladin in to open Napa Valley at the Rio in 1995. Mr. Johnson then returned to his passion of the Bar Business when lounges began to fade away and Nightclubs flourished, creating large  revenues after midnight in Casinos. This quickly grew the attention of the Strips Casino Execs. Mr. Johnson conceived, designed, built and operated the model in which Las Vegas Mega Clubs used to create the Club Scene we have today. Club Rio (1993), Beach (1995), Studio54 (1997), Carnival Court (2001) Chippendales (2003), IBar (2004) Hard Rock Hotel Remodel Center Bar (2015), Goose Island Pub (2016) Magic Mike (2017). After an 8 year run with the Hard Rock Hotel brand, Mr. Johnson was recently recruited by Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.  Currently operating the World’s Busiest “Hooters” and soon to open the World’s Busiest “Steak N Shake” in April 2018. His proven success has made him one of the most sought after experts and consultants in the always changing Food and Beverage industry.
